The Cantilever House

FOAID 2018 Architecture & Design The ‘Cantilever House’ project won the ‘Creative Minds Next’ award in Architecture & Design category at FOAID 2018.

The core design idea was to incorporate nature’s elements i.e. sunlight – large openings; air – operable windows for natural ventilation; water interior & exterior water bodies; earth – raised & terrace gardens. The huge cantilevers on south and east side of the building shall provide for solar shading. Through intersecting horizontal and vertical lines the design has been kept very modern and minimalistic.
